Happy Eid ... Seeking Happiness

Tonight marks the beginning of a festival after the completion of fasting and praying the nights of Ramadan. It is called Eid Al Fitr. It is intended to thank Almighty Allah for enabling us the complete the fasting of the wholly month of Ramadan. It is a time to rejoice and be happy for such a special achievement. People spend ample time with their families and visiting their parents, siblings, friends, and neighbours. Happiness is what people are trying to attain during these days by wearing new clothes, giving gifts and money to their relatives especially to kids and women. Surprisingly, you will find everyone buy a lot of sweets of all kinds and colors but at the same time they don't eat them. Try out visit someone and just observe that no will eat these sweets. Anyhow, it is a bit weird to me but i do understand the reason because they are afraid of getting sick! Happiness! what is happiness? is it wearing new clothes ... is it the new car you bought last week to show off before your peers and relatives ... it is the new big house you moved to ... what is the point of having all that but you fail to enjoy life in its simple form! enjoy having healthy relations! being rich is not about having more ... i would say it is about demanding less .. yes, when we live simple life anything will make us happy ... even simple things! people nowadays are in the business of looking at others and racing with them to get more that what they got!! The more we ponder over what we have and be grateful of the bounties God has bestowed upon us the better we feel and the better we live. So, let's enjoy what God has given us without looking at others and let's be more generous in any way possible to us then life will become more meaningful and more joyful. Happy eid to everyone. I love you all

Rasing Kids - a TV Show

last month, i had the opportunity to make a TV program on the subject of raising children (the focus was on boys) to become the men of future. It was a 16 episodes program and was shot at Amman Jordan. A new venture for me that I found it enticing and engaging. I look forward to making more programs with focus on family and children related subjects. I don't claim to be a distinguished knowledgeable person on these subjects yet I am confident that what I have learnt and experienced myself will be of benefit and value to others thus I want to share what I learnt and practiced. Let's all do the same ... let's keep up learning, practicing what we learnt, and sharing the value we get so we contribute to spreading good ... would you please share with me a piece of wisdom or lesson you have learnt in life pertaining these two subjects; family and raising kids! Your thoughts will be of value to me.
